This will encourage participants to  become more competent  sailors Some of the  areas reviewed are:-Spars & rigging; sails &  sail  theory; Sailboat handling; cruising under sail. (Day boats and keelboats.)								SEAMANSHIP POWER This course expands upon the safety and operating subjects contained in the BOATING COURSE to provide the knowledge required to become a Safe & Proficient operator of a power driven boat.                                                                                   Some of the areas reviewed are:- Power trains; engine controls;engine trouble diagnosis; fuels fuel systems; electrical system; cooling & lubrication;Hull maintenance.
								WEATHER The detailed subject matter will enable the boat operator to anticipate adverse weather conditions, by gathering pertinent information and interpreting weather signs. Some areas reviewed are:- Atmospheric pressure; wind; temperature & moisture; air masses; frontal weather; clouds;precipitation & fog; wave theory; weather forecasting.
